The purpose built School, completed in 2004, is set on 12.000m² of land. The building has a floor space of 5.000m² and consists of classrooms averaging 60 m² in size for Infant, Primary, Secondary and A Level pupils aged 3 – 18. In addition, there are 2 computer suites, 3 laboratories, a Secondary Study Centre, dedicated music and art rooms, a magnificent drama area, infant motricity room and indoor gym, Examination office, staff rooms, meeting rooms, offices, kitchens and dining hall
Outdoor facilities include an Infant sand and play area with safety rubber flooring; a Primary playground and multi-purpose football and basketball pitches.
The Infant area contains 6 classrooms, motor skills room, La Limonteca – the infant library and a dedicated Spanish language room.
The Primary Department has 12 main classrooms as well as Spanish and English immersion classrooms and a reading support room.
Secondary and A Levels
There are 7 Secondary subject rooms, and a further 6 independent A Level classrooms. When they are not in class, A Level students have access to a Common Room during the school day. There are three Science Laboratories.
El Limonar International School Villamartín has 2 separate ICT suites, one of which is wholly dedicated to Secondary and A Level study. The internet connections are via ADSL line. There is one computer per student for ICT lessons and the rooms are available for individual student use at other times. Every other department has laptop and projector facilities.
El Limonar International School Villamartín also boasts a magnificent drama space with a capacity for 200 people and equipped with a piano, stage lighting and a sound system. It is used by classes and groups from all levels to perform plays, poetry readings, assemblies and concerts. There is a separate dedicated music room used by all year groups.
El Limonar International School Villamartín offers sporting opportunities for all year groups with its multi-purpose football and basketball courts, Infant motricity room and Indoor gym. There is also access to tennis courts, swimming and athletics facilities at local clubs.
Dining is organised in several sittings depending on pupils’ age and year group. A hot 3-course meal is prepared every day on the premises by El Limonar International School Villamartín staff. The menu is supervised by members of the Management and is based on the Mediterranean diet, although regional and international specialities are included. Special dietary requirements are catered for. A copy of the monthly menu is sent to parents in both English and Spanish.
