S4 student Robert  from El Limonar International School, Villamartin is an expert viola player and the only English member of the ´Orquesta de Jóvenes´ (Youth Orchestra) of Torrevieja. He proudly took part in a concert held on the 6^th of November at the Palacio de la Música where his skills contributed to a hugely popular evening which helped to showcase the rich musical talent of our local area.

From Villamartin, we would also like to congratulate past A level music students Oisin and Ffion who with their band ´The Voodoos´, opened for Snow Patrol at an MTV concert inBelfastcity centre this month. The concert was attended by 20,000 people as well as the millions watching at home! Partly formed from ´Acacia Avenue´ the Voodoos were a popular local band who were spotted by a record producer whilst performing on the Costa Blanca. After submitting their self penned songs to an MTV competition The Voodoos beat hundreds of other hopefuls to win the opportunity to open the concert. Well done to all the lads!
