Qualifications
In accordance with its authorisation by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools of America, at the end of Secondary 4 (English year 11), successful students receive a Statement of Studies and the Graduate in Secondary Education Certificate (El Graduado en Educación Secundaria), which is the certificate awarded in all Spanish schools. Students who convert their Statement of Studies into the Graduate in Secondary Education Certificate are eligible to apply for Baccalaureate courses or Middle level Spanish Vocational Training courses (Formación Profesional – Grado Medio).
Students then go on to study 2 year A level courses in Villamartín or courses in Spanish Baccalaureate which prepare them for the Spanish university entrance exams, commonly called Selectividad.
As part of their English studies, students are entered for the Cambridge University First Certificate in English (FCE), Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) or Proficiency in English examinations. As part of their Spanish, French and German language courses, second language learners are prepared for the DELE (Diploma en Español como Lengua Extranjera) the DELF (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française) and the Goethe Institute suite of exams.
