Exchanges

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA

Now in its 5th year, this very successful Study Exchange with Southridge School (www.southridge.bc.ca) is open to students in Secondary 4. Application forms will be given out in September.

HOUSTON, TEXAS, U.S.A.

This exchange has been confirmed with Awty International School (www.awty.org) for 2010-11. It will be offered to students in Secondary 4 and will be run on the same basis as the Vancouver exchange. Application forms will be given out in September.

AKELEY WOOD, UNITED KINGDOM

This exchange is being set up for 2010-11 with Akeley Wood School (www.akeleywoodschool.co.uk). It will be offered to students in Secondary 3 and will be run on the same basis as the Vancouver and Houston exchanges.

YEOVIL, UNITED KINGDOM

This exchange has been confirmed for 2010-11 with Chilton Cantelo School (www.chiltoncanteloschool.co.uk). It will be offered to students in Secondary 2 and 3 and will be a “traditional” exchange involving a group of some 15 students accompanied by a member of staff. Application forms will be given out once dates are confirmed.

Chilton Cantelo School is part of the Cognita group. Since we joined Cognita, two years ago, three of our students, one from each of Secondary 2, 3 and 4 have attended Chilton for a term as boarders. Next year sees a fourth El Limonar student take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. 

UPTON, UNITED KINGDOM

We do not have an active exchange programme with Long Close School (www.longcloseschool.co.uk), but, as three of our students will be spending a term there next year, I include it in this list to highlight the exchange potential within the Cognita group.
