Selectividad

14 July 2010

The format of the exam was changed this year, for the first time in 20 years. I am pleased to be able to report that this year’s cohort of 19 candidates has maintained the school’s 100% pass rate, with an average mark of 73,6% in the “General Phase” (4 subjects).

I am also pleased to report that the average mark of the 14 students who, in addition, sat the “Specific Phase”, thus making a total of 6 subjects each, was 73,1%. This mark is in line with pervious years’ averages - 72,5% last year (20 students) and 76,1% the previous year (20 students), for example.

In the 3 years that we have been presenting students at the LOGSE university entrance examinations, 39 have sat mathematics. Of the 39, 14 obtained 100%. This year’s average mark was 78,8%, last year’s 77,9% and the previous year’s 71,6%.

The highest average subject mark this year was 90%. The mark was obtained by the 8 students who sat the Philosophy exam.
