Becas Europa

Becas Europa 2007 - 2008

The “BECAS EUROPA” grants were developed to encourage potential University talent, to reflect on the concept of being a student and to motivate student debate over what the mission of European universities should be.

It is with great honour that we mention the participation of one of our 2nd year Bachillerato students in the 2007-2008 Becas Europa.  The pupil was one of the 50 finalists selected from 2000 candidates during a three-phase contest. Accompanied by University professors, she spent 20 days travelling through Europe, visited important Universities, took part in debates and met key public figures. She also took part in a cultural programme of theatre and opera, gastronomy workshops and guided visits with prestigious architects.

Another special mention goes to a pupil in this year's 2nd year Bachillerato who has reached the top 200 in the 2nd phase of the contest. The third and final phase takes place in Madrid in February and will culminate in the choice of the 50 finalists who will travel through Europe this summer.

Becas Europa 2009 - 2010

Congratulations to Alba of B2. Alba was one of 200 pupils who, after being selected from 2,000 nation-wide, competed in Madrid to be one of the 50 winners of the prestigious Becas Europa competition. Students travel Europe for three weeks attending lectures at prestigious universities, meeting well-known figures from the business and educational world and experiencing new leisure-time activities. Alba was not one of the lucky 50 but her achievement was very laudable indeed.
